What to buy to start an army with 100 GBP.

This is the first real Space SubMarines article. As it says in the headline I will take about purchases, that anyone has to do buy  for a first or new army .First of all my choice are from army list that are for 6 edition  , I have played or I have seen, keep in mind always of course that only with scoring units(troops the most times)you can win . The list of armies will be alphabetical and the prices are as it is on the games workshop site (if anyone can find them cheaper of course buy it from there I insist )(all prices are in GBP).

BLOOD ANGELS: I look army lists and I remember the BA i have seen and for me the cheapest and the wisest it is to buy the battleforce (70£ ) plus Assault squad (20.5£).This way you will have your base troop choice .Total=91£

CHAOS DAEMONS:I haven’t seen much people use them at least   not as allies but I figure out the best way to begin your army .The  battleforce  is the less profitable . Here isn’t the best choice , yes it gives three troops unit but not the best one as I has seen. For me buy 4 Pink Horror packs (72£) and 2 packs of flames(25£)  Total=97£

CHAOS SPACE MARINE: Once again the battleforce here isn’t the wiser choice, it gives you from all the unit choice but not what you really want. The best way to spend your money here is 3 Chaos space marines packs(69£) and one rhino pack(22.5£) .Total=91.5£

DARK ELDAR: At last the battleforce  here has units that you can build your army around, so battleforce(70£) plus one Kabalite Warriors(18£) and an Archon(9.5£) .With those miniatures   you can build a nice small army. Total=97.5

ELDAR: Unfortunately  after the 4 edition that elder had a strong falcon to use a lot of people doesn’t trust elder anymore but 40k isn’t about winning but playing(ok yes I like to win too but I don’t have problem to lose by a better player or army).So Eldar is one of those armies that the battleforce isn’t a good choice to begging with so i say 2  dire avengers pack(46£) , one guardian pack(18£) and a model of  a farseer/warlock(8.2£)(is the same model).Total=88£

 

   

IMPERIAL GUARD:IG has two ways to be played 1)by horde and 2) by a lots of tanks either  way you will need a base troops unit to build around. The IG battleforce perhaps is one of the best battleforce that GW has for 40k.In your position I would buy the battleforce(75£) ,one shock trooper(18£) and one  psyker (8.2£).Total=101.2£

 

NECRON: Necrons now days have one of the best codexis and a lot of people play them(I have  Necrons too  but before the codex).The battleforce  her e does all the work for  as it has anything a necrons player must have in that price. So battleforce (70£) , one overlord(11£) and one warrior pack (22£).Total=103£

 

ORKS: I have seen  many players with orks and the best way to use them is horde to spam the enemy with boyz , overwhelm and win must be the orks motto, but the  battleforce doesn’t agree with only 20 boyz so we don’t  buy it ,instead we buy 4 boyz pack(72£) ,one warboss(12.3£) and a nob pack(15.5£).Total=99.8£

 

SPACE MARINES: Space marines can be any chapter that you want from the Ultra Marines to the Dark Angels. They also have the most profitable battleforce that is out there . I would go for a battleforce(70£) and a terminators pack (28£) .Total=98£

 

SPACE WOLVES: Space Wolves a nice army (its my main army!) with nice models and cunning tactics. The wolves work best with troops and lots of missiles coming  from behind and take out anything . SO battleforce (70£) with a devastator squad(20.5£)(Long Fang) and a model of rune priest(12£). Total=102.5£

 

TAU: An army that goes for shooting shooting and again shooting. With tau you take out your enemy with powerful shoots. So battleforce (75£) and a fire warrior pack(22£).Total=97£

 

 

TYRANIDS: The tyranids can be played more efficient by hordes(once again) and by monstrous creatures but always  you will need the little guys to take the fire for the big guys. The battleforce isn’t what we go for so instead 2 termagant packs(26£) , 2 genestealers pack(26£) and a Hive tyrant pack(33£).Total=105£

GREY KNIGHTS:I cant understand how an army that has so many players doesn’t has a battleforce. The grey knight is a tough army with strong units and of course against daemons. So 2 grey knight pack(41£), 1grey knight  terminator pack(28£) and 2 models of grey knights with psycannon(19£).Total=88£

 

 

SISTERS OF BATTLE:   SOB is an army that I have NEVER play seen or be able to find enough information to say what someone can buy soon  I will  read the codex and I will post  it .

 

Conclusion: In most of the armies with those units you will have around a650 army list , that is a very good beginning for a new army .So good games out there see you next time.
